What to expect from a session

Our desire and hope is for each person to live an abundant life. The concept of hope and expectancy has been proven by research to be a powerful motivation towards change. It is important for each therapist to work with a client in ways that make sense to the client, starting from wherever the client is at in their journey of life. Our team works with each client to create an understanding of what their contextual and cultural background means to them as an individual.

Healing and change may come through an exploration of self, by learning acceptance, forgiveness, responsibility, or by letting go of hurts and resentments. Change may also occur by dealing with guilt, shame and by learning to let go of self-destructive patterns of thinking, feeling and acting.

When assessing a client’s needs and goals, we focus on the physical, emotional, social and spiritual aspects of their life as we have a holistic view of human nature. We enter a working relationship built on a foundation of trust, care and respect.
